During the initial setup I chose an app to open for the webrowser. I want to switch which browser is opened through Android exploits but can not find the option anywhere.

Hi,

You can change the default browser used in Android Exploits by going to the 'Scam Protection' section in the app. From there, select 'Select Browser' to choose your preferred web browser. If you need any further assistance, feel free to reach out!

Best Regards,
Juanita

@jsebastian

So I easily found where to make the browser choice, but when I click a check box my boxes won't check and as a result I can not change my browser. Stuck now not being able to open the internet through links or apps because it is stuck on some Norton thing that I will be uninstalling very quickly....

@sk0och Hi, this is bit strange behaviour. Maybe something device specific.

What exact device model do you use? And which Android version is running?

Greetings and thanks for using our App 😉

@sk0och @fierfaerie699

We were working on a potential fix today and pushed it to the Google Playstore. After review it will be available for Beta test users. Version will be 8.0.17 (or higher).

However the issue seems to be a device specific problem and we are currently unable to reproduce it... So some feedback would be very helpful. Thank you very much.

update: today I went to check if the issue had been fixed. I am a beta tester and have updated all my apps recently. Unfortunately the issue of being able to select a browser of choice to open through the Android Exploits app is still giving me the same problem.  I tried something different today, and found something that resembles success.

So the not being able to select a checkbox part of the issue... to better explain i would say that when selecting a box to check, the check mark quickly jumps downward to the next box, then to the next,  then the next, and so on until it disappears, resulting in the last option being the only one which is selected.

Now, earlier today I felt a little bit of luck in me and decided to try something to see if there was an easy fix hiding in plain sight. It turned out there was, at least for me.  If I selected the top-most box and quickly hit the confirmation check at the top of the screen to go back to the previous page, if the check hadn't made it all the way down the list, I saw my selected browser had switched to which box the check occupied at the time of confirmation.  After a handful of attempts I got the timing right and finally had selected the browser I wanted to have open through the app.

So at least for now there seems to be a work around. Hopefully the problem is resolved soon so others don't run into this issue. If they do, I hope they can find this discussion and my solution is of some help.

🤪 Be excelent to eachother.

Until next time, tah tah 🥷
